The majority of my career has been sent working as a mechanical engineer/project manager in the Aerospace Industry. I started with Hughes Aircraft Company in Tucson Arizona in 1985 and worked on such programs as the TOW missile, the Tomahawk cruise missile, Maverick, Amraam, and the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV). Later I worked for a smaller engineering firm that produced mine detection systems using LIDAR technology (AQS20 and ALMDS) for the U.S. Navy. I am currently working as the Process Engineering Manager for the Welfare and Self-Reliance Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I joined the Hill Flying Club in 2015 with the desire of achieving a life long goal of getting a private pilot's license. A desire that was instilled in me by my grandfather who owned a Cessna 180 and took me flying often. Having achieved that goal, I enjoy flying often through the benefits of membership with the Hill Flying Club. |
